When I’m not photographing people, you can find me outside hiking, backpacking, and camping, usually before sunrise and a long way from the nearest parking lot. These prints where those miles end up.
My portrait and headshot work is all about connection: a conversation, a collaboration, and a person who walks away feeling seen. Out here, the work is quieter. There’s no one to direct, and nothing to do but wait for the light, the weather, or the animal to decide what happens. But the instinct is the same one I bring to every shoot: wait patiently, stay present, and catch the moment when nothing is being performed. These are the images I made for myself, on trails and at the edges of lakes, canyons, waterfalls and sometimes even cemetaries. Now I’m offering them as prints.
